LOVE! With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, I wanted to share a few more things you can do to make the holiday special – no matter if you own, rent or are visiting relatives. Making your house a home can happen very inexpensively. Sometimes it is just about enjoying the people around you.
Here are some ideas to help you have fun at home:
This scrumptious chocolate cake with cherry frosting makes a beautiful display as well as a tasty treat for all of your crafters-in-residence. Chocolate-dipped cherries provide the perfect topper for this sweet dessert.
Dip extra cherries in chocolate and serve them as bite-size treats, or bundle them for tasty party favors your guests can tote home with their crafts.
Red velvet pies with cream cheese icing set a Valentine’s Day mood. These individual pies are just as tasty as a large cake, but they’re easier to eat while crafting.
To get the most out of your get-together, set up prepared stations for each craft before the party begins. Cut paper to size and layout all supplies before the guests arrive; if everything is prepared and ready to go, you’ll be able to kick back and craft with the girls.
Your girlfriends will love taking home these adorable fold-out cards, and you’ll love how easy they are to set up! Print several copies of our free template and set out 12″x12″ cardstock in different patterns and colors so each guest can make and take their own unique card.
These festive coloring pages double as a fun party activity and a pretty take-home craft. Set up a wine and coloring station at your girls’ day! Print our downloadable coloring pages onto sticker paper, cut out heart shapes, and stick them to paper gift bags that guests can use to take home their crafts or extra treats. The gals will love kicking back and coloring, and you’ll love setting up this no-mess project!
One of our favorite party hacks is to cut preparation time by setting up a cookie- or cupcake-decorating station. Set out unfrosted cookies and cupcakes, frosting, and sprinkles, and let guests decorate their own delicious treats.
We love the idea of setting out materials for nontraditional Valentine’s Day craft projects. These felt beaded flowers are so easy, and they make perfect embellishments for a variety of projects. Add them to home decor pieces or use them as an embellishment on a headband or hat.
Paper crafts and cards are popular Valentine’s Day crafts, but all the glitter, glue, and string can make a mess. Use simple containers to contain crafts supplies and to keep the crafting table as organized as possible.
